In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Dr. Sunil Kumar Father'S Name :-Bhagwat Prasad of BJP won in this constituency beating Sunil Kumar Father’S Name :- Shyamnandan Prasad of RJD by a margin of 15102 votes which was 8.22% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Dr Sunil Kumar of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Mohammad Asghar Shamim of JDU by a margin of 2340 votes which was 1.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dr Sunil Kumar of JDU won this seat defeating Aafrin Sultana of RJD by a margin of 23712 votes which was 15.79% of the total votes polled for the seat.
