In 2015, Mudrika Prasad Roy of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Janak Singh of BJP by a margin of 20440 votes which was 14.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Janak Singh of BJP won this seat defeating Tarkeshwar Singh of INC by a margin of 6970 votes which was 6.96% of the total votes polled for the seat.
