This constituency covers an approximate area of 1294.14 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 18°36'56.2"N 77°36'41.0"E.

A total of two Assembly constituencies in the state of Maharashtra share borders with Deglur constituency, which are: Naigaon, Mukhed. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Nizamabad, Kamareddy districts of Telangana and Bidar district of Karnataka.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Antapurkar Raosaheb Jayvanta of INC won in this constituency beating Sabne Subhash Pirajirao of SS by a margin of 22,500 votes which was 12.63% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Sabne Subhash Piraji of SS was the winner in this seat beating Antapurkar Raosaheb Jaiwanta of INC by a margin of 8,648 votes which was 5.07% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Antapurkar Raosaheb Alis Chandoba Jayanta of INC won this seat defeating Sabane Subhash Piraji of SS by a margin of 6,011 votes which was 3.88% of the total votes polled for the seat.
