Assembly constituency no.91. Mukhed comprises of the following areas of Nanded district in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra: Mukhed Tehsil, Kandhar Tehsil (Part) – Revenue Circle Pethwadaj and Kurla.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 1269.36 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 18°38'31.2"N 77°20'11.8"E.

A total of five Assembly constituencies in the state of Maharashtra share borders with Mukhed constituency, which are: Loha, Naigaon, Deglur, Udgir, Ahmadpur. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Bidar district of Karnataka.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Tushar Govindrao Rathod of BJP won in this constituency beating Bhausaheb Khushalrao Patil of INC by a margin of 30,782 votes which was 16.55% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Govind Mukkaji Rathod of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Betmogarekar Patil Hanmantrao Venkatrao of INC by a margin of 73,291 votes which was 41.28% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Patil Hanmanthrao Venketrao of INC won this seat defeating Rathod Govind Makkaji of IND by a margin of 1,216 votes which was 0.76% of the total votes polled for the seat.
