In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Amarnath Shakha of BJP won in this constituency beating Arup Kumar Khan of TMC by a margin of 11551 votes which was 5.23% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Arup Kumar Khan of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Manik Mukherjee of AIFB by a margin of 10848 votes which was 5.48% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Arup Kumar Khan of TMC won this seat defeating Tarapada Chakrabarti of AIFB by a margin of 596 votes which was 0.34% of the total votes polled for the seat.
