In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Ajit Maity of TMC won in this constituency beating Antara Bhattacharyya of BJP by a margin of 6656 votes which was 2.94% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Saumen Kumar Mahapatra of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Prabodh Chandra Sinha of DSPP by a margin of 24218 votes which was 11.68% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Prabodh Chandra Sinha of DSPP won this seat defeating Ajit Maity of TMC by a margin of 1234 votes which was 0.69% of the total votes polled for the seat.
