In 2015, Anand Shankar Singh of INC was the winner in this seat beating Ramadhar Singh of BJP by a margin of 18398 votes which was 12.06% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ramadhar Singh of BJP won this seat defeating Sunil Kumar Singh of RJD by a margin of 6242 votes which was 5.61% of the total votes polled for the seat.
