In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Musafir Paswan of VIP won in this constituency beating Ramai Ram of RJD by a margin of 11268 votes which was 6.17% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Beby Kumari of IND was the winner in this seat beating Ramai Ram of JDU by a margin of 24130 votes which was 14.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ramai Ram of JDU won this seat defeating Musafir Paswan of RJD by a margin of 24127 votes which was 19.72% of the total votes polled for the seat.
