In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Lalit Narayan Mandal of JDU won in this constituency beating Lalan Kumar of INC by a margin of 11565 votes which was 6.76% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Subodh Roy of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Himanshu Prasad of BLSP by a margin of 14033 votes which was 9.07% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Subodh Rai of JDU won this seat defeating Ramavatar Mandal of RJD by a margin of 4845 votes which was 3.92% of the total votes polled for the seat.
