This constituency covers an approximate area of 1308.96 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 18°55'40.1"N 77°36'14.4"E.

A total of four Assembly constituencies in the state of Maharashtra share borders with Naigaon constituency, which are: Bhokar, Deglur, Mukhed, Loha. This constituency shares an inter-state border with Nirmal district of Telangana.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Rajesh Pawar of BJP won in this constituency beating Chavan Vasantrao Balwantrao of INC by a margin of 54,577 votes which was 25.99% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Chavan Vasantrao Balwantrao of INC was the winner in this seat beating Rajesh Sambhaji Pawar of BJP by a margin of 10,425 votes which was 5.25% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Chavan Vasantrao Balwantrao of IND won this seat defeating Deshmukh Shrinivas Alis Bapusaheb Gorthekar of NCP by a margin of 11,120 votes which was 6.5% of the total votes polled for the seat.
