In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Khokan Das of TMC won in this constituency beating Sandip Nandi of BJP by a margin of 8105 votes which was 4.02% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Rabiranjan Chattopadhyay of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Ainul Haque of CPIM by a margin of 29438 votes which was 15.17% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Rabiranjan Chattopadhyay of TMC won this seat defeating Nirupam Sen of CPIM by a margin of 36916 votes which was 19.81% of the total votes polled for the seat.
