In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Nisith Kumar Malik of TMC won in this constituency beating Radha Kanta Roy of BJP by a margin of 17268 votes which was 7.21% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Nisith Kumar Malik of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Aparna Saha of CPIM by a margin of 11505 votes which was 5.3% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Aparna Saha of CPIM won this seat defeating Nisith Kumar Malik of TMC by a margin of 14233 votes which was 7.37% of the total votes polled for the seat.
