In 2016, Chhaya Dolai of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Santinath Bodhuk of CPIM by a margin of 38381 votes which was 17.05% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Chhaya Dolai of CPIM won this seat defeating Sibaram Das of TMC by a margin of 1296 votes which was 0.64% of the total votes polled for the seat.
