In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Harakali Protiher of BJP won in this constituency beating Sangeeta Malik of TMC by a margin of 11785 votes which was 5.3% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Shyamal Santra of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Akshay Santra of INC by a margin of 21248 votes which was 10.53% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Khan Soumitra of INC won this seat defeating Purnima Bagdi of CPIM by a margin of 1433 votes which was 0.81% of the total votes polled for the seat.
